Tottenham’s Honey Battle” FA Cup Round of 16 announced.
The results of the fifth round (round of 16) of the English FA Cup came out.
The English Football Association (FA) announced on its official channel on the 30th by drawing a draw for the round of 16 of the English FA Cup in the 2022-23 season.
FA Cup, which boasts a long history as the oldest soccer tournament not only in England but also in the world. Several interesting results were also found in the last four rounds (round of 32). Arsenal, the leader of the English Premier League (EPL), suffered a setback due to Manchester City, and Liverpool, the “defending champion,” was eliminated due to Brighton.
Tottenham Hotspur, where Son Heung-min was active, defeated Preston North End 3-0. Instead of giving Harry Kane a break, Antonio Conte completed the offensive with Ivan Perisic, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevsky. Son Heung-min led Tottenham to the next round by completing multiple goals with sharp toes.
After passing the round of 32, the round of 16 match was completed. Considering all the teams that had to play rematch, nine EPL clubs, eight English Football League Championship (EFL Championship, Second Division) clubs, three League One (third division) clubs, one League Two (fourth division) club, and one English National League (fifth division) club survived.
Tottenham will face Lexum in the fifth division or Sheffield United in the second division. Lexum was founded in 1864, boasts a 159-year history, and is famous for having actor Ryan Reynolds, who plays the lead role in the Marvel Universe feature film Deadpool, as the owner. It is also an interesting story to have a relationship with Son Heung-min through a documentary called “Welcome to Lexum.” Tottenham will continue their FA Cup journey to win the tournament.
