Singer Nam Tae-hyun was sent to the prosecution on charges of drunk driving.
According to the police on the 13th, Nam Tae-hyun was sent to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act on the 23rd of last month.
Nam Tae-hyun opened the door of his parked vehicle while waiting for a chauffeur at the time of drunk driving. In the process, a taxi passing by the car door collided. The accident damaged the right side mirror of the taxi, but it was reported that it had agreed with the taxi driver. Since then, Nam Tae-hyun has reportedly moved the vehicle about 20 meters behind the wheel.
According to the police, Nam Tae-hyun took the wheel to move the parking spot at the same place. The police concluded that Nam Tae-hyun drove under the influence of alcohol and handed the case over to the prosecution. At the time of detection, Nam Tae-hyun’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.114%, which was found to have been revoked.
In addition to the drunk driving charges, Nam Tae-hyun is also under investigation for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
